The Housing Choice Voucher program (HCVP) previously known as the Section 8 Program is a federally funded program that helps needy & disabled & elderly families with their monthly rental payments.

The Public Housing program which is referred to Low Rent is a federally funded program that assists low income families with rental assistance. The units are owned by the Housing Authority.

Our Mission: To encourage, within program restrictions, the freedom of housing choice and spatial de-concentration for assisted housing into areas outside of those in which very low-income minority households are concentrated. To provide improved living conditions for very low-income families while maintaining their rent payments at an affordable level.
